Hey- It's Clare!
I am a third year undergraduate student in the University of Cincinnati’s College of Arts and Sciences. Double majoring in International Affairs and German Studies, I plan to use my time in UHP to grow my skills and gain knowledge to make my dream of becoming a future US Foreign Service Officer a reality.
With a background in language and history, I love to travel and plan to study abroad long-term in upcoming years as I thoroughly enjoyed short-term study abroad trips to both Mexico and Europe (Netherlands and Belgium) during my first year at UC. On campus, I take classes through the School of Public and International Affairs, sing in CCM’s Chorale Choir, serve as the director general for Model United Nations, and participate in Bravo Bearcats, German Club, Mountaineering Club, and Climbing Club. Additionally, I work closely with local lawmakers and former Senator Rob Portman through my fellowship with the Portman Center for Policy Solutions.
When not in school, I love starting (and maybe not finishing...) embroidery and sewing projects, playing with my beagle puppy, and baking my own gluten-free desserts! In the past, I have worked as a professional actor around the Cincinnati area singing, dancing, and acting in local productions. I hope to use my love for performance as well as all things outdoors to fuel my passion for public service and diplomacy.
