You heard it here first.... the second edition of the COLLEGE COLLAGE is live! This digital scrapbook of my sophomore year in UHP chronicles my continued participation in classes and on-campus organizations, as well as new notable work experiences and travel opportunities including:
•Leading UC German Club as the Secretary and interim treasurer, holding over 70 general body meetings and hosting guest lectures from professionals from Austria and Germany
• Visiting the Ohio Statehouse, meeting with and learning from my state representatives, Senator Catherine D. Ingram and Representative Cecil Thomas
• Serving as Director General for UC MUN's Midwest Training Conference, as well as competing at BirdMUNC (Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA) and ChoMUN (University of Chicago in Chicago, IL)
• Performing Mozart's Requiem with CCM Chorale and a Mixed-Repertoire Spring Concert with UC Choruses' Cabaret Singers
• Presenting a food-access policy proposal both in competition with the Portman Center's Public Policy Challenge and the University Arts and Sciences' "Discovery in Action" showcase
• Acting in leading roles in Bravo Bearcat's fall play "She Stoops to Conquer" and spring musical "Urinetown"
• Traveling to Washington, DC with Senator Portman and fellows of the Portman Center to tour the Capitol, Brookings Institution, Bipartisan Policy Center, Lewis-Burke Associates, and Library of Congress, growing my understanding of current bipartisan efforts in domestic American politics
•Working for the City of Cincinnati's Innovation team, a grant-funded position where I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing city residents on public perception of transportation access through a series of focus groups
•Served as a Teacher's Assistant and grader for POL 1080: Intro to International Relations, assisting and reviewing the work of 120+ students
These experiences have strengthened my abilities in becoming a more well-rounded, professional, informed, and inquisitive student and employee.
